The Adams County Convention & Visitors Bureau administers 3 grant programs for event planners and non-profit attractions in the area. Please contact Anjanette at  to request an application. 

Imagine Fund 

Supports the development of new events in Adams County with potential to draw visitors from outside a 50 mile radius. Awards are discretionary, based upon available funds and anticipated effectiveness of the proposed event. There are two application deadlines per year. Events held between October and April of every year will be given special consideration.

All proposals must contain an effective and significant community engagement strategy designed to attract the larger public’s attention and participation. At least a portion of the marketing expenditures should target audiences outside of Hastings.

Incentive Fund

Used to entice groups to choose Hastings as a location for events, including but not limited to, conventions, events and sports tournaments. Awards are based on criteria including but not limited to projected attendance, attendees from outside of Adams County, time of year, use of local suppliers and number of lodging nights. Funds can be requested by event planners, facility/attraction managers or local officials on behalf of a non-profit event or group. Applications are reviewed monthly.

 Improvement Fund 

Provides funding for the improvement of existing or creation of new visitor attractions and facilities in Adams County. The funds available through this program are provided from the lodging tax revenue fund and are to be used for capital improvements to attractions or recreational facilities attracting visitors to and within Adams County Nebraska, owned by the public or any nonprofit organization, as the Nebraska Visitors Development Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. 81-1245 through 81-1263, et seq. provides.
