Hastings, NE – Hastings Public Library announces an opportunity for the community to see and hear how the Yahoo! Green City money awarded to Hastings three years ago has been used. Tuesday, April 20 through Saturday, April 24, organizations that received funds from the Green City Grant will have displays at the Hastings Public Library showing how those funds were spent.
On Thursday, April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, a public forum featuring members of the Green City Task Force and representatives from funded groups will be held in the Hastings Public Library auditorium from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. This will be an opportunity for citizens to ask questions and see the impact the Green City funds have had on the Hastings community. A prize drawing will also be held for those who have signed up for email notifications from the library. The goal is to reduce the amount of paper the library uses for overdue notices.
